Rehabilitation of Communal Irrigation Systems – By Contracts (As of February 1 5, 2021)
The rehabilitation of the 10 communal irrigation systems commenced by the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. For the period of January 1 to February 15, 2021, 8 Contractors started with one (1) Contractor still waiting for the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
As of 15 February 2021, three (3) contracts attained a positive slippage. However, 5 contract works incurred negative slippage. One (1) contract incurred slippage (-5.19%); two (2) contracts incurred slippage of (-9.22% to -15.56%), and two (2) contracts incurred slippage more than (-15%).
NIA-Memorandum Circular No. 40, s. 2017, provides the guidelines for administrative actions to be taken in cases a negative slippage is incurred in contract execution. Action is needed from LDS-IMO management and NIA-IO address the negative start of the contract works.

Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer – By Force Account Works (As of February 15, 2021)
The construction of 11 unit warehouses and solar dryers to 10 communal irrigation systems has not yet started. As of 15 February 2021, no construction materials had been delivered by the supplier to LDS-IMO. Two suppliers were issued a Notice to Proceed on 27 January 2021. It is expected that the construction works to be undertaken by Force Account Works (FAW) will commence in the month of March 2021.
